Spa-Francorchamps remains on the racing calendar until 2031

Formula 1 fans will continue to be able to watch the Belgian Grand Prix on the popular Spa-Francorchamps race track.

As the motorsport premier class announced, the race in the Ardennes will also be the venue for Formula 1 in 2026, 2027, 2029 and 2031. However, the contract extension does not apply to the years 2028 and 2030.

“Spa-Francorchamps is rightly praised by drivers and fans alike as one of the best race tracks in the world,” said Formula 1 Managing Director Stefano Domenicali, according to the statement. The route has been significantly modernized in recent years.

Among other things, two new stands were built. The Spa-Francorchamps track, built in 1921, is considered one of the most traditional Formula 1 tracks. In 1950 she was part of the first Formula 1 championship.
