Liga F, with its president Beatriz Álvarez at the helm, will serve as host organization for the annual meeting of the Women’s Leagues Forum to be held in Madrid from January 12 to 14, where 14 world Leagues will meet and will seek to “consolidate the bases and structures in the development of professionalization and promotion of women’s football”.

The representatives of the different Leagues, according to the statement released this Thursday by League F, “will hold various work meetings focused on matters of the international calendar, development of competitions, promotion of attendance at stadiums, economic sustainability and professionalism of the structures “.

“In addition, the international delegation will also have the opportunity to visit the Legends Museum and witness the League F match between Atlético de Madrid and Levante UD,” the press release added. Álvarez herself, a member of the board of directors of the Women’s Leagues Forum, highlighted the importance of “being founding members” of this organization and expressed satisfaction at hosting “such an important event.”

“We are going to work together worldwide to establish synergies, design common projects and consolidate the bases and structures in the development of the professionalization and promotion of women’s football and its collective interests,” stressed the president of Liga F.

Women’s Leagues Forum was established last season in San Diego (California, USA), taking advantage of the final of the American League, “with the purpose of uniting, integrating and empowering professional women’s soccer leagues from around the world, and with the firm objective of working in a joint and coordinated manner to advance its development,” according to the same press release.
