Skiing|In the Imatra Championship, the traditional ten will be skied on Saturday. Joni Mäki brought up a big threat.
Imatra
Finland the national team skiers raised a big threat about the ex-pop star Antti Tuiskun For the WC debut on Saturday.
Tuisku, 40, skis 10 kilometers in traditional style in Imatra on the terrain of the Ukonniemi stadium. He starts the trip with number 1, i.e. first.
The weather looks bad. It started snowing in Imatra on Friday, which is expected to continue throughout Saturday.
That would make Tuisku a “plow truck”, so to speak, which would have to plow through fresh snow. It’s a raw workman’s job.
“When you look at tomorrow’s weather and when Tuisku is the first to leave… You can’t help but wish you luck on your journey”, sprint cannon Joni Mäki said on Friday.
SM gold Jämin Jänteen, who won the Paris Sprint Cross mat Hakola and Lauri Lepistö reacted jovially and encouragingly to the dawn of Tuisku.
“I hope Antti enjoys the competition. That he would be able to squeeze himself in,” Hakola said.
“I hope that he will have a successful race,” Lepistö said.
He was also worried about the weather.
“The weather wasn’t fast on Friday either,” Lepistö said.
“It’s a bit sad if he has to plow,” Hakola added.
Tuisku himself said that he hoped “from the gods” that there would be “a brutal amount” of snow before the men’s race.
On Saturday, 10 km (p) races are contested in Imatra SM skiing as an intermediate start. The women’s race starts at 10 a.m. and the men’s race at 11:30 a.m. Yle TV2 will show the races live.
Antti Tuisku and his AT Ski Team protégés will compete in the Imatra SM skiing.
