Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City reach the round of 32 of the FA Cup with firm steps

Liverpool FC, Chelsea FC and Manchester City have reached the round of 32 of the Emirates FA Cup this Saturday thanks to their respective huge 4-0 wins against Accrington Stanley, 5-0 against Morecambe FC and 8-0 against Salford City.

At Anfield, the locals got everything back on track with a goal from Diogo Jota on the half hour mark, saving a low counterattack by Darwin Núñez, and another goal from Trent Alexander-Arnold before the break, a right-footed shot into the top corner. Jayden Danns scored in the 76th minute, by pushing a rebound after a personal play, and Federico Chiesa made his debut in the 4-0 as the net’s scorer.

At Stamford Bridge, and despite the penalty missed by Christopher Nkunku after a quarter of an hour, Chelsea also had no problems against another lower-class rival. Tosin Adarabioyo opened the scoring in the 39th minute, Nkunku retaliated by making it 2-0 in the 50th minute and Adarabioyo himself made it 3-0 (min.70); João Félix, including a great goal, also scored a double later.

Meanwhile, at the Etihad Stadium, Pep Guardiola’s men enjoyed themselves at Salford’s expense. Goals from Jérémy Doku, Divin Mubama and Nico O’Reilly paved the way in the first half. After the break, Jack Grealish scored a penalty to make it 4-0 and Doku took more center stage, giving James McAtee the 5-0 and himself scoring the 6-0 also from a penalty.

McAtee completed a hat-trick in the final stretch of the match and sealed the win for the ‘citizens’ to advance firmly to a fourth round where other illustrious teams such as Leicester City will also be there, after their 6-2 victory over Queens Park Rangers ; Nottingham Forest, with their 2-0 win over Luton Town; Bournemouth, for their 5-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion; and Brighton & Hove Albion, following their 0-4 against Norwich City.
