FC Bayern is not planning a spectacular transfer swap of Chelsea star Christopher Nkunku and storm talent Mathys Tel. “The clear goal of all of us involved is for Mathys to make a breakthrough for us. And we believe in it too. Mathys believes in it and that’s why it’s currently not an issue for us to deal with other things,” said sports director Christoph Freund about a speculated deal with the two Frenchmen.
The media-speculated commitment of former Leipzig player Nkunku (27), who moved to Chelsea in the summer of 2023, is not an issue for Freund. “No. If we continue into the season like this – and that is our plan – then it’s not an issue that we need to bring someone in on offense because we are very, very well positioned there.
