Musetti wins the Italian derby against Arnaldi in 4 sets at the Australian Open

Lorenzo Musetti won the Italian derby against Mattia Arnaldi in four sets and qualified for the second round of the Australian Open. The Tuscan, 16th seed, prevailed over the Ligurian with a score of 7-6 (4), 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3 in over four hours of battle. In the next round for the 22 year old from Carrara the winner of the Bautista-Shapovalov challenge. The Italian Luca Nardi, however, lost to the Canadian Gabriel Diallo who came back to win after more than 4 hours and 17 minutes of battle for 3-2. Matteo Berrettini did well, after three hours of play, he beat the Englishman Cameron Norrie 3-1 with a score of 6-7 6-4 6-1 6-3.
