Sinner at the Australian Open, good first

The beginning winner for Jannik Sinner at the Australian Open, in his first official match of the year. The world number one and reigning champion of the first Grand Slam tournament of the season beats the Chilean, Nicolas Jarry number 34 in the ranking, in three sets (7/6 – 7/6 – 6/1).

Balanced match in the first two sets with an excellent Jarry from the baseline and an equally solid Sinner – always perfect in the fundamental points – who then takes off in the third set which lasted less than 30 minutes.

“I was good at managing complicated situations”

“The first two sets could have gone wrong, but when I broke in the third set I was finally able to breathe. Jarry has enormous potential. I was good at managing the complicated situations in the first two sets. It’s the first official match of the ‘year. I am very satisfied“. Jannik Sinner comments thus, interviewed hotly on the court, on the victory in the first round of the Australian Open.
