Finland’s biathlon men were far behind in the Ruhpolding relay

Finland Jaakko Ranta, Arttu Heikkinen, Tero Seppälä and Otto Invenius finished 14th in the Biathlon Men’s World Cup relay in Ruhpolding, Germany on Friday. Finland lost to France, who won the competition, by almost three and a half minutes.

France clearly won, as the second-placed Swedish team was 38.4 seconds behind the leader. Germany was third in the competition. were in the French relay team Emilien Claude, Fabien Claude, Quentin Fillon Maillet and Emilien Jacquelin.

Ranta, who shot cleanly, started the race well and arrived at the exchange in ninth place. In the second relay section, Heikkinen used four spare cartridges and came to the exchange in 18th place. Seppälä had to go through a penalty round once. Seppälä was replaced in 16th place. Invenius used four spare cartridges and raised Finland’s ranking by a couple of notches.

Finland collected one penalty in the competition and used 11 spare cartridges.
