Kelly Ann Doualla makes Italian athletics dream. The very young sprinter, at just 15 years old, set the new record European record Under 18 in the 60 meters, winning in Ancona in 7″23. But who is Doualla?

Kelly Ann Doualla was born in Pavia to Cameroonian parents, both healthcare workers but who have long held Italian citizenship. She lives in Sant’Angelo Lodigiano, in the province of Lodi and for years she has trained with Cus Pro Patria Milano under the guidance of coach Walter Monti, who makes her compete competitions also with males aged 16 and 17. Doualla began running at a competitive level very early, and already in 2022 she had made herself noticed at the Student Games, where she had recorded, in the 80 meterseven a better time than the male winner of the category, with a 9″79 which allowed her to lead the second place by about 30 metres.

Last May Kelly tried her hand at 100 meters ran in Brescia in 11″73. But it’s not just speed. In fact, Doualla also competes in long jump with a personal best of 6.24 meters. The young sprinter has already participated in one gathering of the Italian youth national teams and soon we could see her on very prestigious stages.
