Sparta Praga-Inter 0-1, Champions League: goal from Lautaro Martinez

The goal of the round of 16 has almost been achieved for Inter. The victory in Prague against Sparta brings qualification closer to the Nerazzurri, already certain of the playoffs, and victorious in the Czech Republic 1-0 thanks to Lautaro Martinez’s beautiful goal in the first half. Now Inzaghi rises to fourth place in the standings with 16 points, while Sparta Prague remains at 4, eliminated.

The match

Inter managed to break the deadlock in the match already in the 12th minute thanks to a great goal from Lautaro Martinez, who volleyed home an assist from Bastoni to make it 1-0 for the Nerazzurri. The hosts’ only chance came with Birmancevic, but his shot was easily blocked by Sommer.

In the second half, Inter found the second goal in the 59th minute with Dumfries, who was quick to score with a tap-in after Lautaro’s saved attempt, but the referee disallowed it for an offside at the start of Dimarco’s action. The Nerazzurri winger himself tries from outside the area, but without hitting the target, while Lautaro comes close to scoring a brace but is once again saved by the opposing goalkeeper. In the final it is Frattesi, who has just entered the field, who has a good opportunity, but he too clashes with Vindahl’s providential reflex. It then ended 1-0 for Inter in Prague.
