Odermatt wins the Super-G in Kitzbuehel, Casse seventh

Marco Odermatt won the super-G in Kitzbuehel, valid for the World Cup men’s alpine skiing. On the legendary Streif, the Swiss champion, leader of the ranking absolute and specialty, he closed his test with a time of 1’13″25, preceding the Austrian Raphael Haaser by 11 hundredths and his compatriot Stefan Rogentin by 30.

Three Italians among the top 15: seventh Mattia Casse at 0″67, tenth Giovanni Franzoni at 0″76, 12th Christof Innerhofer at 0″78. Florian Schieder also scored points, 26th at 1″70, and Nicolo’ Molteni, 30th at 1″95. Bad fall for the Frenchman Alexis Pinturault, transported to hospital by helicopter; the blue Dominik Paris is also out.
