Cross -country skiing – Gimmler and Rydzek third in the team sprint

Laura Gimmler and Coletta Rydzek gave German cross -country skiers the second podium of the winter. The 31 -year -old Gimmler and Rydzek, four years younger, ran third in the team sprint in Cogne, Italy. After a total of seven kilometers in classic technology, the German duo only had to give up the winners Kerttu Niskanen and Jasmi Joensuu from Finland as well as the second -placed Swedes Johanna Hagström and Maja Dahlqvist. After a gripping race, the Germans were only 1.2 seconds behind the winners. Team sprint Olympic champion Victoria Carl had won the only panel rank of German cross-country skiers two weeks ago. The 29-year-old had become over ten kilometers in free technology in Les Rousse’s French.
