“Leadership, commitment and availability”: the criteria for the presidency of the Cojo des Games d’Hiver Alpes 2030

Martin Fourcade having officially renounced the presidency of the organizing committee of the 2030 French Winter Olympic Olympic Games, we must now appoint another personality. Four former athletes have notably expressed their desire to put on this costume and offered their services: Nathalie Péchalat, Marie Martinod, Vincent Jay and Edgar Grospiron. A choice must now be made.

“During their meeting held this (Saturday) morning, the stakeholders of the organization of the Winter Games of the French Alps 2030 praised the number and the quality of the demonstrations of interest for the presidency of the committee of ‘Organization, ”said the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) in a press release.

A designation should take place before February 18, the date of the constitutive meeting of the cojo. The Solido should also be created by decree in the coming days and a managing director will then be appointed.

The organization of the 2030 Winter Olympic Games, the second OJs in France in six years after the success of those in Paris, is experiencing a very delicate departure.

Were present this Saturday morning in Reunion the representatives of the CNOSF, of the CPSF (Paralympic Committee), the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Associative Life, of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Provence-Côtes d’Azur regions , as well as former Prime Minister Michel Barnier and the interministerial delegate at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
