Protests at Austria vs. Rapid against the ban on the away fans

It was only extremely loud in the 41st minute. The Austria had balanced by a penalty, Dominik Fitz Casted the 1-1 and the purple trailers raged in the stands.

Before that, the 344th Wiener derby had turned somewhat differently. The guest sector was not filled with the fans of the rival – for the first time of a total of four times. Austria had invited 23 social institutions to prevent an empty block for each district.

Without rapid fans, the mutual stitching of the trailer groups also fell away before the main act. So it was atmospheric at the kick -off of referee Weinberger, but it was less boiling than with the past duels. And, that should not be forgotten: it was peaceful.

Converted message

The fans in violet also made no secret of the rivals. As a sign of the protest, all transparent were hung upside down in the east stand – except for two: “Today is not a real derby” and “A derby lives from: rivalry”. Violet apparently wanted green on the distribution group.

As few Greens as never before had come after favorites. The club peaks have agreed to invite each other in the future. But for these four classics there is a waiver of the lodge places so as not to face the fans who had organized a public viewing.

In 0: 1 by Sangare, only the supervisors and a handful of Rapidler cheered, who had probably come to cards via friends of friends.

Fitz provided the turn-and immediately after the break with the free kick to 2-1 for violet party mood. It shouldn’t come to an end this Sunday.
