Auxerre-Marseille: supporters injured following clashes before the match

A bad orientation of the Marseille buses, and an overly light escort according to the club quoted by Provence, would have favored contact between the two camps. About an hour before kick-off, new clashes broke out between Auxerrois and Marseille supporters at the pool entrance to the Abbé-deschamps stadium and next to the Stades bar. The police had to intervene to separate the two camps which launched smoke bombs. The tension remained vivid for long minutes.

The first assessment is quite heavy. According to information from here (ex-France Bleu) Auxerre, there are indeed two wounded, including in critical state which was transported to the Center Hospitalier Specialized (CHS) in Auxerre. The second was taken care of by the firefighters and “wore a Minerva” according to the testimony of the radio reporters who were on site.
