The Vienna Capitals force a decision -making game against Fehervar

On Tuesday, the Vienna Capitals proved that a 1-0 can be very interesting in an ice hockey game. The Viennese won the second game of the Best-of-Three series in the pre-playoff against the Hungarians with the smallest possible goal difference and placed a total of 1: 1. The decision about the promotion to the quarter -finals is made in Szekesfehrar on Friday.

The Viennese were the more active team over long distances, but the top -class opportunities were rare. With a remarkable move, the capitals cracked the Hungarian defensive bar: Franklin drove diagonally into the third of the attack and played Gregoire free, who only had to insert to the left of the goal. The most of the 4,160 ice hockey fans in the Steffl-Arena were delighted.

But also in the 1-2 on Sunday in Szekesfehrar, the caps had led. As in the first game, Tyler Parks turned out to be dazzling in the Wiener Tor. The 1.98 meter tall American had missed more than 40 games due to an injury and grew beyond himself.

After the first break, the game was rough, especially in front of the Wiener Tor, Hackl, Fischer and Co. had to intervene several times. The referees let go a lot on both sides. The level of emotions was higher than the class of the teams. The spectators liked it. In the final phase there was even standing ovation, the Icefire fan club created the mood.

The backing

The Viennese brought the lead over time despite controversial referee decisions. “If you have a Tyler parks behind that is headed for 60 minutes, you will also survive the outnumbered situations,” praised Vienna Captain Mario Fischer. His team now goes to Hungary with the certainty that it won two of the three strings.
