ÖSV combinator Lisa Hirner ensures a sensation

On the fourth day of the Nordic World Cup in Trondheim there was the first big surprise from a Austrian perspective: the Nordic combined Lisa Hirner Jumped and ran sensationally to the bronze medal in the individual competition.

The 21-year-old Styrian wrote a Piece of sports history. Hirner ensured the first individual medal of an Austrian combined man.

After jumping, the Austrian was in second place, Hirner then ran up in the cross -country ski run and did not let the strong Norwegians shake off. Behind Gyda Westvold Hansen and Ida Marie Hagen, she finished third.

The medal is all the more surprising because Lisa Hirner had health problems in preparation and could not train properly for weeks.

For the 21-year-old it is the second medal at this World Cup. She also won bronze in the mixed team competition.
