A team has already qualified for the next World Cup

Japan has become the first country (not hosting) to qualify for i World Cup football of 2026 to be held in Canada, Mexico and the United States. With the 2-0 victory over Bahrain, the Japanese national team has collected the Tenth victory in eleven games in group C qualifying the Asian grouping.

The only team capable of stopping it was Australia who torn a 1-1 draw months ago. The goals of mathematical qualification, in front of the 60 thousand spectators present in Saitama, were made by Daichi Kamada (Crystal Palace) and Take Kubo (Real Sociedad). For Japan it is the eighth participation of its history in the final phase of the World Cup.
