The decision was made after completing a 100-day independent examination of the venues and the infrastructure, said Crisafulli. Last year, the regional government excluded a complete new stadium building. If the residents of Queensland had to deal with housing and other costs, it could not be justified to spend billions of dollars for a new stadium, it said at the time.
