Kai Havertz and his wife Sophia have become parents for the first time. The 25-year-old German soccer player, together with his partner, published a black and white picture on Instagram that shows the hands of the parents and the baby. “Welcome to the world, little boy. We love you so much,” wrote the offensive player of the English Premier League club FC Arsenal under the photo.
The young parents do not reveal the name of the offspring. The currently injured DFB star and his long-time girlfriend had married last year in July.
Born in Aachen, the Aachen native has been playing football in England. At that time, Havertz moved from Bayer Leverkusen to Chelsea FC and had shot the blues trained by Thomas Tuchel with his goal in 2021 for a 1-0 win in the Champions League final against Manchester City. In 2023 he moved to Chelsea’s city rival Arsenal. Due to a thigh injury, the current season has already ended for him.
