Handball: Ex-professional Paul Drux: “Olympic medal, but no house”

The national player and Foxes captain had to end his career prematurely last October. Again and again serious injuries had thrown him back. He still suffers from the consequences. “The current pictures of the knee have shown that it is in the right direction. Nevertheless, I’m still very limited. This is a bit depressing for the head,” he said.

Drux wants to remain the foxes

“I feel like every part of the body where I had injuries, I feel much more. I think that is because the daily movement that the body was used to,” said Drux. He looks back on his shortened career with melancholy, “because I quickly noticed how nice it was what I was allowed to do – and that I lived in a total bladder.”

The 30-year-old currently writes on his bachelor thesis on the influence of digital technologies on top sport. He can well imagine a role in management at Füchsen Berlin. “The club is close to my heart, it is the first and only employer I had,” said Drux. “And I have my whole environment here. That is on the table and we are in the process of concretizing it.”
