Wissam Ben Yedder will replay football. Less than a year after playing his last official match with AS Monaco against Nantes (4-0, scorer on May 19, 2024), the 34-year-old attacker signed up with the Sépahan FC, the current 2nd of the Iranian championship.
Without a club since his departure from the Principality, where he spent five seasons between 2019 and 2024 (201 games, 118 goals), the French international initialed a contract until the end of the renewable season for an additional year. According to our information, the player had actually already signed for more than two weeks, but a financial concern, now settled, so far prevented the registration of the contract.
In the Iranian championship, Wissam Ben Yedder will play under the orders of French Patrice Carteron and will share the same locker room as the ex-Montpelliérain Bryan Dabo (33) and the 2018 world champion Steven Nzonzi (36). He has been training with his new team since March 17.
He could have signed in Venice
