Hans-Joachim Watzke and Bernd Neuendorf remain Global Player, the DFB-Spitzenduo continues to mix vigorously on an international stage. At the UEFA Congress in Belgrade, the two managers of the German Football Association (DFB) were once again voted the most important committees of world football on Thursday-they now want to bring the next big tournament to Germany.
DFB-Vice Watzke received the necessary votes among the eleven applicants and retains his post in the Executive Committee of the European Football Union (UEFA), President Neuendorf, based in the Council of the World Association FIFA. The term in office is four years each. However, the trip to Belgrade was more than an ordinary business trip for the two top officials.
With their campaign mission in the Serbian capital, Watzke and Neuendorf also went to shake hands, maintain relationships and advertise. In the middle of the discussions about a possible Russian return or the future at the Uefa tip, the bosses behind the scenes emphasized the advantages of a 2029 women of 2029 in Germany.
“I believe that FIFA and UEFA are very well registered that the DFB has stabilized significantly after turbulent years,” said Neuendorf, whose role in the Council of 2034 of Saudi Arabia was also seen in public. This stability “undoubtedly also our reputation abroad”.

Watzke and Neuendorf should continue to represent the DFB interests in the important, but also financially lucrative offices – and again land a home tournament. While the World Cup finals are likely to take place in the United States in 2031 in 2031 and in 2035 in the United Kingdom, since according to FIFA boss Gianni Infantino there is only one application, the DFB is fully relating to the European Championship in four years.
The European Championships will be announced in December by the UEFA Executive Committee. In addition to Germany, Portugal, Italy, Poland as well as Sweden and Denmark also want to organize the tournament.
