Osasuna and Elche comfortably advance to the thirty-second round in the Copa del Rey

CA Osasuna and Elche CF have qualified this Wednesday for the round of 32 of the Copa del Rey MAPFRE thanks to their respective victories against CD Sant Jordi by 0-5 and UD Los Garres by 0-4, while Real Zaragoza has beaten UD Mutilvera 1-3.

At the Son Malferit, Raúl García de Haro put Osasuna ahead by converting a penalty on the half hour mark and repeated the goal shortly before half-time, after a control with his right foot inside the rival area and a left-footed cross; and in the 62nd minute, he completed his hat-trick by finishing off a cross from Iker Benito from close range.

In a defensive mismatch, Ante Budimir then scored 0-4 with a pass from Roberto Arroyo and in the final stretch Kike Barja rounded off the ‘little hand’ with a great goal from outside the area that entered almost into the farthest corner. The bad news for the Osasunistas was Benito’s probable injury.

Elche also had no problems on their visit to the Las Tejeras field, where Adam Boyarar opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a beautiful backheel from a pass from Adrià Pedrosa from the left wing. Martim Neto and Rodrigo Mendoza left everything clear in the first half stoppage time and Fede Redondo sealed the victory for Elche in the 76th minute.

Meanwhile, at the Aranguren Valley Municipal Sports Center, Zaragoza took a break from their ordeal. Not in vain, the bottom of the Second Division won this match in 25 minutes with an own goal from Adrián Roncal and a goal from Juan Sebastián. Kenan Kodro achieved the third and left in anecdote the penalty converted by Xabi Goñi for the locals.
