Star striker Kylian Mbappé was awarded the Golden Boot for last season’s top scorer in the European football leagues. The honor was held in the presidential box of Real Madrid’s Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, as the Spanish record champions announced.

The Frenchman said it was “an honor” to accept this award: “This is an important moment for me. I am winning this award for the first time and it means a lot to me as a striker.” He thanked his teammates and his club Real Madrid.

That’s why Mbappé beat out Harry Kane, among others

“It’s a great honor for me to play for Real Madrid. Everyone knows it was my childhood dream and now I’m here. The Madridistas have shown me affection from day one and even before,” said the 26-year-old attacker, who previously scored goals for Paris Saint-Germain.

Mbappé scored a total of 31 goals in the Spanish top league in the 2024/25 season, surpassing all other professionals in the top European leagues. Bayern Munich’s top scorer Harry Kane, who won the Golden Shoe a year ago, scored 26 goals in the crucial 2024/25 Bundesliga season.
