National soccer player Maximilian Beier should be back in the Borussia Dortmund squad for the DFB Cup round of 16 against Bayer Leverkusen. The attacker had recently missed two games due to muscular problems. “He’s now fully back in the game. Things are looking good for tomorrow,” said BVB coach Niko Kovac before the cup duel on Tuesday (9 p.m./ARD and Sky). Without Beier, Dortmund won 2-1 in the league against Leverkusen on Saturday.
Defender Niklas Süle, who is still suffering from a toe injury, is still not there. “He’s already making progress, but he still has to catch up on a few things,” said Kovac about Süle, who has been out for weeks. Kovac was unable to name the 30-year-old’s exact injury.
