Samuel Helenius: signed to the Los Angeles Kings

The scrappy power forward continues his career in California.

Los The Angeles Kings have signed a two-year contract extension of Samuel Helenius with. The contract is with Sportsnet by with a total value of 1.75 million dollars, i.e. around 1.5 million euros.

Helenius, 23, has played 53 NHL games in his career with 4+3 power points. This season, he has appeared in the Kings shirt three times and also played 20 games in the organization’s AHL team Ontario Reign. The hard-hitting attacker has accumulated 38 minutes in the AHL this season.

The Kings once booked Helenius in the second round of the 2021 draft with number 59.

Nearly Helenius, who is two meters tall, is a second-generation NHL hockey player. He was born in Dallas in 2003 by his father Sami Helenius playing NHL hockey for the Dallas Stars.

Samuel Helenius has represented the Finnish national team twice in the World Junior Championships. Born in the United States, he has a Finnish passport as well as American citizenship.
