Loss of stick, no loss of face

And that under the most difficult conditions: In the first round, the 34-year-old lost his right stick in the top part and fought his way brilliantly over the Birds of Prey to 6th place.

With his fourth place, Stefan Brennsteiner defended his lead in the Giant Slalom World Cup. The Austrian is now on par Marco Odermatt (SUI), the one in Beaver Creek in front of the Italian Alex Vinatzer and Henrik Kristoffersen won and took his fourth win of the season.

Lukas Feurstein made one in the second round Giant leap forward. After a late disqualification by the German Alexander Schmid, the Vorarlberger had just slipped into the second round in 30th place.

With start number 1, Feurstein set the fastest time in the final and improved to 10th place – this is the Vorarlberger’s best result in a World Cup giant slalom.
