Militao suffers a tear in his femoral biceps

Real Madrid’s Brazilian center back Éder Militao suffers a tear in the femoral biceps of his left leg affecting the proximal tendon and will be out for several months, missing among other matches the Spanish Super Cup, which will be played next January.

“Following the tests carried out on our player Éder Militão by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a tear in the femoral biceps of his left leg with involvement of the proximal tendon,” notes the official statement issued by the white club this Monday.

The Brazilian center back had to be substituted in the 24th minute of this Sunday’s league match between Real Madrid and RC Celta, bringing on Antonio Rudiger. Now, she will be out for the next few months of competition, in which she will miss, among other commitments, the Spanish Super Cup, the last three days of the league phase of the Champions League or the league visit to Villarreal on matchday 21.

This is the third muscle injury that Militao has suffered this season, in which he had already missed the Champions League matches against Kairat Almaty and Olympiacos, and the league match against Elche. In addition, he adds to the already known losses in defense of Dani Carvajal, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ferland Mendy and Dean Huijsen, to which in the next league match the suspended Álvaro Carreras and Fran García will be added.
