The Euroleague sanctions Red Star with a fine and limited capacity for chanting about Punter

Euroleague Basketball has sanctioned Red Star Belgrade with a fine of 8,000 euros and the obligation to play a match with a maximum of 80 percent capacity, closing certain sectors, due to the offensive chants sung by the local fans against Barça player Kevin Punter.

Furthermore, in its statement, the Euroleague adds that there were chants against the referee team and other people linked to FC Barcelona during the match on matchday 14 of the Regular Phase of the 2025/26 Euroleague, with a 79-89 ‘culer’ victory.

This capacity limitation is conditionally suspended for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, in accordance with article 8 of the competition’s Disciplinary Code, and will only be implemented in the event that the Serbian club repeats a violation of article 29.1 f), relating to offensive behavior by fans.
