“You can’t beat a horse like that,” says the cameraman of the video.

Törnqvist’s own view of the course of events differs from what the cameraman of the video tells. The coach commented on the incident to Aftonbladet.

According to Törnqvist, Pieters’ horse spooked a stray dog ​​that came onto the road and ran to the edge of the ditch.

“We simply tried to get it out of the ditch and hit it with a stick to avoid an accident. I still understand that the video sounds bad,” Törnqvist told Aftonbladet.

TOrnqvist is one of the most successful trotting trainers in Sweden in recent years. He currently has 114 horses in training.

The horses trained by Törnqvist have earned 14.1 million kroner this year, or about 1.3 million euros.
