German cross-country skiers are only a hundredths short of the podium

The German cross-country skiers were only eight hundredths of a second short of a podium finish in the team sprint at the World Cup in Davos. Coletta Rydzek had to narrowly admit defeat to her two Norwegian rivals in the finish sprint and came fourth. The Swedes Maja Dahlqvist and Jonna Sundling clearly won by more than three seconds over the next three teams.

Rydzek and Laura Gimmler had already impressed in the qualification with the third fastest time. The second German representation with Theresa Fürstenberg and Laura Keck came in eighth place in the final after 7.2 kilometers.
