Londrina access technician, Roger Silva is hired by Sport

London will not have a technician Roger Silva in the 2026 season. The coach, responsible for leading Tubarão in access from Series C to Series B, accepted a proposal from Sport and will be the opponent of the club from Paraná in the next edition of the Segundona.

To remove Roger Silva from Londrina, Sport had to pay a termination fine estimated at around R$180,000. The coach arrives at Leão da Ilha motivated by a sequence of good work and two consecutive successes under his belt.

Before gaining access with Londrina, Roger was runner-up in Series C with Athletic, a result that also guaranteed the team from Minas Gerais in Series B. Throughout his career as a coach, he also played for clubs such as Inter de Limeira, Pouso Alegre, Manaus and Primavera-SP.

The spell at Sport marks Roger Silva’s third contract with the Pernambuco club. Before starting his career as a coach, he defended Leão as a player on two occasions. In 2008, he was part of the Copa do Brasil champion squad, and returned to wearing the red-black shirt in 2013. Londrina has not yet announced the name of a new coach.
