The former Premier League player decided on an unexpected venture. Quit his job and signed up for Survivor

Former Romanian football player Gabriel Tamas (42), who spent part of his career in the English Premier League, decided to take a big turn in his career. He decided to leave his directorship, pack his bags and go to the Dominican Republic to participate in the reality show “Survivor”. Because of this, he resigned from his position as sports director of the Romanian second division Concordia from Chiajna.

Tamas will not be the only famous person in the reality show because he is part of the “Faimoșilor” team, which is made up of famous people. The broadcast of the show starts on January 9, and the main prize is 100 thousand euros. The former soccer player will receive 2,500 euros per week for participating.

Tamas was a game for three yearsč Premier League where from 2010 to 2013 he wore the shirt of West Bromwich Albion. During his career he also played for Dinamo Bucharest, Galatasaray, Spartak Moscow, Celta, Auxerre, Cluj, Doncaster, Watford, Steaua, FCSB, Hapoel Haifa, Astra, Voluntari and Petrolul.

Two years ago, he hung up his football boots and finished his professional career in Concordia, where he was the sports director until now. He played 67 times for the Romanian national team and scored three goals.
