RB Salzburg: New sports director presented, contract with Reiter extended

“I’m really looking forward to it”

The 41-year-old German signed a contract until June 2030, the club announced on Wednesday.

Mann was managing director of the German second division club Hannover 96 from 2021 and succeeds Rouven Schröderwho left Salzburg for Borussia Mönchengladbach in mid-October. “If you, like me, have worked at the same club for four and a half years, it’s difficult to say goodbye,” explained Mann, who was convinced by the Salzburg route.

“The club stands for a clear philosophy, successful youth work and ambitious goals. The discussions showed me that there is an environment here in which you can make a difference in the long term – I’m really looking forward to that,” said the Swabian.

Long-term collaboration planned

Mann will run the club together with Reiter. “His experience and understanding of sustainable development are an ideal fit for our goals,” said Reiter about his new colleague at the top of the club. Their collaboration is long-term. “Both personnel are a clear commitment to our path and to long-term success,” emphasized CEO Harald Lürzer.

Reiter has been working in a central role for the Red Bulls since 2017 and continues to be in charge of the club’s economic and strategic management. “The many experiences of the last nine years, the great trust of the board, my entire team and the partners have convinced me to continue to be part of our Salzburg way,” explained Reiter.
