Two new confirmations for HIFK for the Spengler Cup

HIFK replenished its ranks again for the Spengler Cup.

HIFK has once again completed its lineup for the Spengler Cup, the club report on their website.

The Helsinki club signed a loan agreement with SCL Lions’ forward Joshua Fahrnin and defender of HC Ambri-Piotta Rocco Pezzullon with. Previously was reportedthat too Eric Schneller and Jason Akeson strengthen HIFK in the club team tournament.

Pezzullo, 24, has played five matches in the Swiss top flight this season and 18 matches lower down the league ladder on loan. In the main league, the defender’s point account has yet to be opened, but at the lower level, Pezzullo has collected seven assist points.

The 23-year-old Fahrni is playing his fifth season in the Swiss premier league. This season, the forward has played 15 matches in the SCL Lions with power points.

Both loan players are familiar faces from the under-20 World Cup.
