US football star Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs left the future of his NFL career open after the last home game of the season. “This is a decision I will make with my family, my friends and the Chiefs organization when the time comes,” said pop superstar Taylor Swift’s fiancé, who watched the Chiefs’ 20-13 loss to the Denver Broncos from a stadium box.
The game could have been Kelce’s last home appearance in the NFL professional league. There were “a whole lot of emotions,” the 36-year-old told the US news agency AP. In the duel with Denver, he was one of the Chiefs’ few offensive bright spots.
Three-time Super Bowl winner
“The whole world is watching you. You get to play with the young guys in prime time. It’s an opportunity for them to get a taste of that NFL life,” Kelce said.
The tight end has played for Kansas City since 2013. He won the Super Bowl with the Chiefs three times – in 2020, 2023 and 2024. His contract expires after the season. It is also still unclear whether Kelce will play in the away game against the Las Vegas Raiders on the last game day of the regular season next week.
