Sensation at the Tour de Ski: ÖSV cross-country skier sprints onto the podium

Benjamin Moser is the big surprise at this year’s Ski Tour. The Tyrolean cross-country skier has been in top form in the stage race for days – and right in the middle of the world.

On the third day of the Tour de Ski, Moser was allowed to first podium finish of his career cheer. In the 5-kilometer mass start race, the 28-year-old was only beaten by the American Gus Schumacher.

“It’s just unbelievable and I don’t know what to say. The fact that I did it today really leaves me speechless,” said Moser, who had already finished 8th (sprint) and 11th (10 kilometers classic) at the Tour de Ski.

The man from Achensee is now in fourth place in the overall ranking.
