The Scottish Club Celtic fired the coach on Monday Wilfried Nancyj two days after a 3-1 loss to Rangers, the čname champions drew level on points with their bitter rival.
The Frenchman (48), who replaced the temporary coach last month Martina O’Neill achieved just two wins in eight games in all competitions, and still failed to keep a clean sheet under him. Celtic are second in the Scottish Premiership with 38 points from 20 games, six points behind leaders Hearts.
“Celtic Football Club announces today that it has decided to terminate the contract of manager Wilfried Nancy, with immediate effect,” they said in a statement.
“Wilfried’s assistants, Kwame Ampadu, Jules Gueguen and Maxime Chalier, will also leave the club and take our best wishes with them. The club can also confirm that Paul Tisdale has left his position as head of football operations.”
Brendan Rodgers, who led Celtic to four league titles in two spells, resigned as manager in October after a poor run of form. Peter Lawwell alsođer stepped down from the position of club president last month due to numerous threats.
