Munuera Montero will whistle the final of the Super Cup and Díaz de Mera Escuderos and Busquets Ferrer, the ‘semi’

The Andalusian referee José Luis Munuera Montero will be in charge of calling the final of the men’s Spanish Super Cup, which will be played on Sunday, January 11, while the Castilian-La Mancha Isidro Díaz de Mera Escuderos will direct the first semi-final, between FC Barcelona and Athletic Club, and the Catalan Mateo Busquets Ferrer, the second that will face Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid.

Munuera Montero, who will be helped on the wings by Íñigo Prieto and Antonio Martínez, and on the VAR by Trujillo Suárez, will referee the second final of his career, after the Copa del Rey final between Athletic Club and RCD Mallorca that he digested in the 2023-24 season.

The first to appear will be Díaz de Mera Escuderos, who makes his debut in this competition with the first semi-final of the Super Cup between FC Barcelona and Athletic Club, this Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. The assistants will be Diego Santaúrsula and Rubén Campo and Figueroa Vázquez will be in charge of the VAR. Real Madrid has never lost to the Catalan referee, who already whistled last season’s derby at the Metropolitano (1-1).
