Arman Tsarukyan does not fear that Benoît Saint Denis will take revenge in the octagon because according to him, the UFC will not dare to organize a fight between them. On Monday, the number one lightweight challenger belittled the French fighter during an interview with The Ariel Helwani Show.
The Armenian notably relied on the defeat of “BSD” in front of Dustin Poirier to justify his remarks. “He lost his last big fight. He has never beaten real top guys in the world, he has never been one of the best,” assured Tsarukyan, not convinced by the express knockout inflicted by the Nîmes on Beneil Dariush on the prestigious stage of Madison Square Garden in New York, in mid-December.
He defeated the future opponent of “BSD”
With his 23 victories, the 29-year-old fighter implied that the UFC – the major MMA organization – was giving preferential treatment to “God of War”, winner of his last three fights. “The UFC likes him a lot, so they won’t put him against me, because everyone knows he would lose,” Tsarukyan argued.
The latter dominated future opponent Saint Denis last November. The Habs will meet Dan Hooker, sixth in the lightweight rankings, on January 31 in Sydney. The number 8 in the category could take the opportunity to climb and get closer to his detractor.
