Laporta will declare on Friday as being investigated for an alleged scam of 91,500 euros in 2016

The president of FC Barcelona, ​​Joan Laporta, will testify this Friday in the Court of Instruction 22 of Barcelona as being investigated for an alleged scam of 91,500 euros that occurred in 2016, according to the order consulted by Europa Press.

The head of the court has also summoned the vice president of the Blaugrana club, Rafael Yuste, and two other former directors to testify as under investigation: the economist Xavier Sala i Martín and the former general director Joan Oliver.

According to the order advanced by ‘El Periódico’ and to which Europa Press has had access, the complainant, in the exercise of its investment activity, became aware in mid-2016 of two investment opportunities through a private banking agent “that presented attractive conditions.”

CORE STORE Y CSSB LIMITED

One of them was to invest in Core Store, a company based in Spain that offered a profitability of 6%, so that the investment would be used to execute a strategic plan for the promotion of the Reus Deportiu Football Club from second division B to second division A.

The second, to invest in CSSB Limited, a company based in Hong Kong, the investment being destined for a project to create a football training academy in China inspired by La Masía del Fútbol Club Barcelona.

The complainant maintains that she invested a total of 104,000 euros between the two companies, with which those investigated allegedly have a connection, of which she only recovered 12,500 euros in 2024.

Initially, the complaint was filed, but an appeal filed before the Barcelona Court forced the case to be reopened.

This Friday, the instructor has also summoned representatives of Core Store and CSSB Limited, with whom those investigated allegedly have a connection, to take their statements.
