Set amateur tennis players could measure their skills against professionals in the Million Dollar One Point Slam, a demonstration tournament organized in connection with the Australian Open.

In the tournament played in Melbourne, 48 players participated, half of them current professionals. The biggest stars of the sport were seen on the field, for example Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.
In the semi-finals, Smith beat the 71st ranked player in the men’s world rankings Pedro Martínezin and the 117th in the women’s world rankings in the final match Joanna Garland.
