Floorball’s big boss is changing – a revelation about his health

Kimmo Nurminen is stepping aside as CEO of SSBL Salibandy Oy.

SSBL CEO of Salibandy Oy Kimmo Nurminen will step down in May this year, F-League report.

Nurminen managed to serve as the company’s CEO for almost ten years.

SSBL Salibandy Oy is a commercial company owned by the Finnish Floorball Association, which handles sales and marketing of floorball in Finland.

In the bulletin it is reported that Nurminen is currently on sick leave caused by the accident.

Nurminen in the absence of Jukka-Pekka Ylinen works as the company’s acting CEO with a six-month fixed-term contract and will be open for applications during the spring.

“The need for change has been partly influenced by the exceptionally long time as CEO and partly by personal and health reasons,” Nurminen explains.

“It has been a privilege to be able to contribute to the growth of the F-League into one of the most significant Finnish ball leagues and to be able to work closely with the committed floorball community and especially with the partners,” he praises.
