Tennis: Harri Heliövaara is victorious again at the Australian Open

Tennis star Harri Heliövaara sorted out his pair Henry Pattenin with his way to the third round of the Australian Open. The pair ranked second in the tournament defeated Austria in the second round match Alexander Erlerin and the United States Robert Gallowayn erin 7–6, 3–6, 6–3.

Due to the exceptionally hot weather in Melbourne, the match started already at 10:30 am. In the end, the even battle lasted more than two hours.

There were no passing breaks in the opening set, and Heliövaara and Patten won the break game with a score of 7–5. The second set slipped to Erler and Galloway, but in the third Heliövaara and Patten were strong.

According to the tennis association’s press release, the reigning champions finally saved five break points in the set and, after Heliövaara’s last stroke, were able to air the place in the third round.

Next, Heliövaara and Patten face the Czech Republic Patrik Riklin and Petr Nouzan. The duo is ranked 56th and 57th in the doubles world rankings. Heliövaara and Patten are tied for third place.
