The Finn, who skied cheerfully at the end, nevertheless arrived at the finish line in fifth place, only 15 seconds behind the leader.

“Today was a really good day. I’m really satisfied with that, that I was able to correct the course on the hill from yesterday, now I’m relaxed and in a good race mood. It can be seen on the results list that it was both good and good skiing,” Herola sums up her race to the Ski Federation.

“Kiri on the ski slope warms the mind a bit now, but you can’t really be satisfied with that hilly section. It’s not at the level you’d like it to be and what it should be,” commented Korhonen in the recording of the Hiihtoliito.

“Let’s still keep hope high in case tomorrow hits the bow.”

American-Finnish Annika Malacinski fell to Korhonen on the final straight and was ninth.

United women have been protesting the collapse of the Olympic dream for years. Picture from Friday. Finland’s Minja Korhonen can be seen on the left front.

Norwegian Ida Marie Hagen returned to the highest podium with a clear difference to the following. On Friday, the American who achieved the opening victory of his career Alexa Brabec fought his way to the finish in second, 26 seconds behind Hagen.
