Six Nations tournament: a Rugby Park at Auber station to build fervor before kick-off

It is possible to take a photo inside the locker room of the XV of France… at Auber station in the 9th arrondissement. Until Friday, a Rugby Park allows you to discover the world of the Blues while promoting the historic partnership between the FFR and the RATP.

Every day, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. (and until 7 p.m. Thursday), in addition to the reconstitution of the Blues locker room, travelers have free access to a clubhouse-style fun and sharing space.

“The idea is to offer a real positive surprise to all travelers and to build excitement before the start of the Tournament,” declares Nicolas Martin, RATP sponsorship manager. “Everyone needs to know that on Thursday, something is happening,” adds Jimmy Brun, communications director for the group.

The visitors we meet there appreciate it. “It’s an opportunity to promote French rugby through the colors of a French company, I think that’s great,” enthuses Thomas. Enzo, a recent supporter, seems convinced: “It’s very good that there are public companies which are interested in sporting issues and which try to break down barriers in these worlds. Making rugby accessible in an RER station is a good idea. » “The park is very well laid out,” says David. I had the chance to see Dimitri Yachvili and there are smiles everywhere. »

Sponsor of the operation, Dimitri Yachvili was actually present during the inauguration of Rugby Park. Consultant for France Télévisions and from his 61 selections for the French team, he shares his experience. “In 2005, I was a player in the French team and that was the start of the partnership. I remember we saw a great bus arriving and we were happy. The bus is an important place for the team because it is the last moment we spend between us before arriving at the stadium. Inside, we go through all the emotions. The driver is part of the team. There is always a special bond with him.”
