Lindsey Vonn, serious injury but doesn’t give up: “I’ll be at the Olympics”

“Obviously, it’s not what I hoped for,” he underlined. “I’ve worked hard to come to these Games in a very different position. I know what my chances were before the accident and I know they’re not the same as they are today, but I know there’s still a chance and as long as there’s a chance, I’ll try.”

“I rely on all the members of my team, my physiotherapists, my doctors, my coaches, my athletic trainer, everyone works their hardest to get me to a point where I feel confident. I am ready to continue giving my best and, of course, what I did today was not a great test, we will see the evidence. I feel much better now than at the last World Championships in 2019 and I still won a medal there”, she said again.

“Unfortunately, I have faced many challenges in my career. I have always pushed my limits and downhill is a very dangerous sport, and anything can happen. Life isn’t perfect but no matter how many times I’ve fallen I’ve always gotten back up. I’ve been in this position before. I know how to handle it. So, all in all, even though I wouldn’t want to be in this situation, I know how to behave,” concludes Vonn.
