Sergio Ramos negotiates the purchase of 90% of SAF do Juventude for R0 million

The defender Sergio Ramos one of the biggest names in the recent history of Spanish football, may have Brazil as his next destination, but not to play but to invest. At 39 years old and still without announcing retirement, the Spaniard joins the company Five Eleven Capital, which negotiates the purchase of part of the shares of the future SAF of Youth.

The information is from gr.globowhich revealed a meeting between company representatives and directors of the Rio Grande do Sul club last Tuesday (3). Conversations, however, had been taking place since the end of last year. The expectation is that the Five Eleven Capital present a formal contract for Juventude’s analysis soon. This would be the initial step before the proposal is taken to the Deliberative Council.

Proposal provides for R$400 million for 90% of SAF

The model under discussion foresees a contribution of R$400 million for 90% of SAF’s shares, with the remaining 10% remaining with the club. In 2026, Juventude will compete in Series B of the Brazilian Championship, in addition to being in the quarterfinals of the Gauchão and also in the Copa do Brasil.

If the deal goes ahead, it will be Sergio Ramos’s first direct foray into Brazilian football as an investor. The Spaniard is also evaluating the purchase of SAF from Sevilla, the club that introduced him to football.

Without a club since the beginning of the year, Ramos played for Monterrey, from Mexico, in the last two seasons. During the period, he played 34 games and scored eight goals. Revealed by Sevilla, the defender built a legendary career at Real Madrid, where he was a multi-champion, in addition to spells at PSG and a return to his former club in 2023-24, before moving on to Mexican football.
