Iivo Niskanen noticed the Norwegians’ deception: the penalty

The stretching of the rules was no longer frowned upon.

International the skiing association Fis has given Norway a penalty at the Milan–Cortina Olympics.

The matter was previously reported, among other things NRK.

Fis announced that one track vest will be deducted from Norway in cross-country skiing until Wednesday’s pair sprints are over. In practice, this means that Norway has one ski tester less than before.

The reason for the sanction is the movement of the Norwegian guardian on the track during a prohibited time.

Finland Iivo Niskanen saw Norwegian ski testers on the track before the men’s relay on Sunday around noon, even though the track was supposed to be closed.

“I was standing next to the fence watching. Fis doesn’t enforce the rules. It feels special,” said Niskanen.

Several Norwegian media had brought Niskanen’s attention to his story.

Finland’s head coach Teemu Pasanen was also fed up with the situation.

“The track was closed, and there was still a maintenance man from Norway skiing. That’s how it seems to be in these games now,” Pasanen said.

Niskanen came second to the second change in the men’s relay on Sunday.

Case says a lot because Norway has received special treatment from Fis in Val di Fiemme.

The skiing mahatmaa got an exception to bring a hot pot of cream to the maintenance area in Tuesday’s sprint race.

Finland protested the sprint mess, but the appeal was rejected.

Teemu Pasase is getting nervous about the Norwegians’ antics.

The Norwegians have mostly resorted to apologizing, which was the country’s cross-country boss Per Elias Kalfossin line also in the freshest rush.

“The guardian misunderstood the time when the track was supposed to close, and stayed on the traditional track for 8-10 minutes after it closed, even though the free track was still open. The guardian realized his mistake and immediately contacted the Fis jury to apologize for what happened,” Kalfoss says in a press release sent to NRK.

“We have received a verbal notification from the jury that one track vest will be taken away as a penalty. We have accepted this.”
